About Connecting Georgia

Connecting Georgia's Mission and Impact

Connecting Georgia (CGA) is a statewide program of Pillars Initiative that creates opportunities for individuals and families to access meaningful support, celebrate culture, and build stronger communities. From wellness and cultural festivals to town halls, community expos, prevention workshops, and local partnerships, we offer spaces that combine education, engagement, and healing.

Our wellness tents and pop-up experiences provide free services and activities that promote physical, emotional, and mental well-being. Our cultural festivals uplift the diversity of Georgia’s communities through performances, food, and shared experiences that inspire pride and connection. Across all initiatives, we are deeply committed to increasing access to mental health, suicide awareness, and substance misuse prevention resources in ways that are inclusive and community-driven.

We proudly partner with the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) Office of Prevention Services (OPS) and other state and local collaborators to bring this work to life across the state.

We believe in the power of community and the importance of creating spaces where people feel welcomed, informed, and empowered. By combining innovative outreach with authentic cultural, educational, and wellness programming, we aim to make every event impactful, relevant, and memorable.

Join us in our mission to connect Georgia—one community at a time.
