Planting Seeds of Health, Hope & Healing

Join us for a powerful community event focused on maternal, women’s, and family health. This free, interactive experience is presented in partnership by Pillars Initiative, the Center for Maternal Substance Abuse and Child Development (MSACD) at Emory University, and DBHDD, and is designed to support, educate, and empower families in Early County and surrounding communities.

This event brings together healthcare professionals, maternal advocates, and community partners to explore critical topics such as prenatal and postpartum care, mental health, women’s wellness, and substance misuse prevention.

What to Expect:

  • Expert presentations from Emory University/MSACD and Pillars Initiative

  • A live panel discussion featuring doulas, nurses, and maternal health leaders

  • Substance misuse prevention education, including Narcan and safe care alternatives

  • Mental health resources and 988 crisis support tools

  • Self-care and wellness activities such as mini facials, skincare demos, and resource giveaways

  • Resource bags with educational materials and community contacts

Whether you’re a mother, caregiver, health professional, or advocate, this event is your space to learn, connect, and feel supported.

This event is free, but registration is required.

A: The Wellness Hour is a special part of the event offering relaxing, self-care experiences such as mini facials, skincare demos, and take-home self-care items. It’s a time to slow down, reset, and take care of yourself in a supportive environment.

Q: Will there be resources available?
A: Yes. Attendees will receive access to a wide range of health and wellness resources including information on women’s health, mental health, substance misuse prevention, and local support services. You’ll also receive a resource bag filled with helpful materials.

Q: Do I need to register to attend?
A: Yes. This is a free event, but space is limited. We ask that all attendees register in advance to help us prepare and ensure a welcoming experience for everyone.

A: This event is intended for adults only. We want to create a calm and focused environment for participants to fully engage and take advantage of the resources available.
